How to Rotate PDF Pages
- Upload your PDF file to load its page previews.
- Use a page’s checkbox to select it, select several pages, or choose Select all. To rotate just one page directly, use the Rotate button on that page.
- Each Rotate click turns that page 90° clockwise. Use Rotate selected for a selected group; click again for 180° or 270°. There is no separate counterclockwise control.
- Review the previews, then choose Download rotated PDF to rotate the PDF and save the updated file. Sign in or create an account if prompted. Download is available after you have made a rotation change.
Rotate Individual PDF Pages
You can rotate a page in a PDF without changing the orientation of the other pages. Each page preview has its own Rotate button and selection checkbox. To rotate only one page in a PDF, use that page’s button or select just that page before choosing Rotate selected.
For a mixed-orientation PDF document, rotate individual pages or a selected group to correct sideways and upside-down content. Choose Select all when every page needs the same adjustment. Review the previews before saving; every rotation click adds 90° clockwise to the page’s existing orientation.
Rotate PDF FAQ
How do I rotate a PDF online?
Upload your PDF, then use a page’s Rotate button or select pages and choose Rotate selected. Each click adds 90° clockwise. Review the previews and choose Download rotated PDF to save the changed document. Sign in if prompted.
Can I rotate just one page in a PDF?
Yes. Use the Rotate button on that page, or select only its checkbox and choose Rotate selected. Other pages keep their current orientation unless you rotate them too. You can also select a group or choose Select all to rotate every page.
Can I rotate PDF pages permanently?
Yes. The downloaded PDF stores the rotation changes in the document, rather than only changing the preview. Open and review the saved file in a compatible PDF reader. Your original uploaded file is not overwritten; keep the downloaded copy to retain the changes.
Can I rotate a PDF for free?
Yes. You can rotate PDF files free of charge within the Free plan’s allowance of 10 free PDF jobs per month, shared across PrivatePDF tools. Each completed rotation download uses one job. An account is required; free use is not unlimited.
