How to Sign a PDF
- Open one supported PDF using the existing upload area.
- Choose the Signature tool and use Draw, Type, or Upload in the signature creator. For image signatures, use a PNG or JPG file. Apply the signature in the creator to make it available for placement.
- Click the PDF page to place your signature. Select a placed signature to move or resize it, reopen its creator to edit it, or delete it. Review the preview and each page you have signed.
- Use the editor’s Download button and sign in if prompted. The exported filename ends in _signed.pdf. If the download screen appears, use its existing download controls to save your PDF.
Add a PDF Signature to Forms, Letters, and Agreements
A visible signature can help you complete documents that request one, including forms, letters, and agreements. Sign PDF documents online by adding a new signature to the relevant page, without replacing the original page text or images. Confirm that the recipient accepts this type of signature.
Create and Adjust Your Electronic Signature
Draw your signature on the creator’s canvas, type your name to create a signature image, or upload a PNG or JPG signature image. Place the signature on the PDF and use the existing selection controls to move, resize, edit, or delete it. Check the preview before downloading.
These options add visual signature elements. They do not provide cryptographic verification, certificate-based signing, identity checks, or guaranteed legal validity.

How do I download a signed PDF?
After placing and reviewing your signatures, use the editor’s Download button. Sign in if prompted and wait for export to finish. Save the PDF through the existing download flow; its filename ends in _signed.pdf. Original page content is preserved and your visible signatures are added to the exported pages.
Is a signature added to a PDF the same as a certificate-based digital signature?
No. This tool adds a visible electronic signature image. It does not create a cryptographic digital signature, use a signing certificate, verify the signer’s identity, or provide a certified audit trail. Legal requirements depend on the document, recipient, and jurisdiction; a visible signature alone does not guarantee legal validity.
